From the movies to the cartoons in the Sunday paper to the Par 5 that just makes you want to throw your clubs the distance of the hole –it’s the gentlemen’s game – it’s golf.
Golf, to me, and to most I could say, has really evolved into a popular event. So many great players on many weekends teeing off to try to take home the cash, oh, and the trophy.
But we all know what made this game what it is. In 1992, 16-year old phenom Eldrick “Tiger” Woods entered his first tournament. As of March 2008, Woods has won 64 official PGA Tour events, an additional 22 individual professional titles, just saying. Woods has set 20 Masters Records and broken or tied a total of nine U.S. Open records. He has done so much more, and another interesting fact: Golf Digest predicts Woods will become the world's first billionaire athlete in 2010.
