The Draft used to be a boring event barely broadcasted where the players and families just showed up, got very excited, and joined (without contact for most) their new team. But now, in 2008, the NFL Draft has been covered from ESPN to the Network to www.NFL.com to any sports site. Mock drafts, player analysis, experts speaking and chatting, this event has become a huge one and has many people sitting, eagerly waiting for 15 minutes at a time to hear their team’s top choice.
From the spy gate scandal, to Pacman’s off-field incidents to Goodell participating at the SuperBowl festivities, this league has risen to the top, becoming oh so popular, and not looking behind.
